why can't i praise ani difranco as the amazing musician that she is, why can't she be placed among the legends of guitar playing, without feeling like i'm going to get scoffed at (comparing her to pete townshend, jimi hendrix - you must be crazy!) and without it being about politics? Her fingers fucking do the business, and everything else is something else, just like any guitar player.
